U.S. stocks recovered some of the losses

!! US Markets !!
U.S. stocks recovered some of the early losses in light volume and
ended slightly lower on Monday as reports of strong earnings helped
counter fears Portugal would be forced into a bailout. Stocks were
initially well lower yesterday on concerns Lisbon would have to seek a
bailout, but worries faded on talk of support from the ECB .The Dow
Jones industrial average fell 37.31 points, to 11,637.45. The S + P
500 dipped 1.75 points, to 1,269.75. The Nasdaq gained 4.63 points, to
2,707.80.

!! Europe Markets !!
European shares are higher on Tuesday morning, after Wall Street
finished off lows, and Alcoa kicked off earnings season by beating
forecasts. At 0820 GMT, EURO STOXX 50 futures were 0.2 percent higher,
Germany's DAX futures were 0.3 percent higher and France's CAC40
futures were 0.2 percent higher. U.S. stocks recovered most of their
early losses and ended slightly lower on Monday as hopes for good
earnings data helped counter fears Portugal would be forced into a
bailout.

!! Asian Markets !!
Asian stocks are higher across the board this morning with positive
sentiment continuing following Wall Street's recovery to finish down
modestly yesterday.
Japan's Nikkei is up 95 pts to 10520, with the MSCI up 7 pts to
318.40.
